Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Richard received his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Florida International University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since September 1985.  Richard and his family moved to St. Augustine in 1986 when he began working for Coopers & Lybrand in Jacksonville, Florida.  Richard has gained a wide range of tax experience related to both individuals and businesses throughout his years of servicing his clients.  Richard has served as a director and officer on several local non-profit boards including St. Augustine Little League and St. Augustine Art Association.  Richard has also sponsored and taught several tax seminars discussing various topics.

Richard grew up in St. Augustine and is an alumnus of St. Augustine High School.  He attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting as well as his Master of Accounting degree.  Richard has been a licensed CPA in the state of Florida since 2009 and is a member of the FICPA and American Mensa.  He also has served as the Treasurer of TASK of St. Johns County since 2016.  He is an active Scouter and Scoutmaster of Troop 63.  When he is not at the office, Richard enjoys canoeing in the marsh, growing datil pepper plants, playing disc golf, and spending time with his wife and kids.
